If the chain rattle is excessive, you can swap for a mechanical chain tensioner. SoCal MotoWerks offer units for most models. No personal experience to offer but considering making the switch. http://www.southerncaliforniamotowerks.com/store/c1/Featured_Products.html

Really? I thought they would? Headers and slip in from akrapovic  have the same part number for both the RR and the 21 R.

Listing says not, but most stuff here says 20/21 RR stuff fits, so they should as well. I compared the link pipes and after 2019 they are a single outlet (IE without the little stub pipe) so it should be a bolt on jobbie.

that is reasonable, and I actually miss-read your post to say 'better to store on ss...'. guess I need to get my eyes checked!

btw all my bikes live either on center stand or paddock stand(the R and Xr still rattle on start-up)
