Did a quick jaunt from Portree to the Bothwell interchange south of Glasgow and back yesterday - 10.5 hour saddle time 453 miles mostly on twisties on the a82. By the time I got back the seat was starting to feel like a plank and the right wrist needed a little 'brufin gel after getting off the motorway and over the erskin bridge.

But, the guy I went with on his r1250GSA was saying the same, the s1000r though has 1 additional heat setting on the heated grips. So after that scientific study, the s1000r is more comfy than a 19 plate GSA  :008:

As an aside, 4 weeks of ownership and 3500 miles, whilst some of you guys are looking at problems booking first services, I'm going to have to book the 2nd service soon  :008: :008: :008:
