Not personally, but a mate of mine (whoís shopping for a new bike this year) test rode the R a couple of days ago. I asked him to let me know what he thought of the brakes as thereís been a lot of moaning about the switch to Hayes. He reckoned they were great. Obviously only in so far as you can tell from a couple of hours of riding. Though maybe itís a good sign that the lucky guys and girls on here that have already received their Rs havenít immediately jumped onto the forum to complain about the brakes...

My mate has an XR with Hayes brakes and thinks theyíre fine. He had an RR with Brembos before

Theyíre fine, itís just journalists being over picky. Most of us mere mortals will never exploit the full potential of these bikes.
