First service after breakin, what is it
on: April 18, 2021, 05:56:00 AM
1200 kms now, called my dealer after 1k, can't get it in for a week.  Going crazy now because I'm nervous about continuing to ride past 1200k.   Paranoid perhaps but....

Besides an oil change and checking fasteners, what else is there to do?  Chain tension perhaps?

Another 200 miles isn’t going to make much difference

If I recall it should be an oil change, tighten steering head nut, and insert red plug to allow the RPM past 9k.

that's about it, maybe general fastener check. fyi, the red plug does not increase the rev limit(that is in the ECU connected up to the computer), just enables Pro(on the older versions)

interesting.  my first service was at 600 miles.   oil and oil filter change. RPM governor removed.  I did NOT get it done at a dealer (2 months out?  for service?)  I got full synthetic oils, greased the chain, checked the brake lines and fluids, and removed the RPM limiter because they have the computer gear to do it.

FWIW, Motorrad UK temporarily extended the break in service period to 1200 miles last year as dealerships were closed due to the Coronavirus.  So, there obviously shouldn’t be a significant risk in going beyond the 1200 km limit. Not sure how that might affect the warranty on bikes in other territories though.

The red plug has nothing to do with unlocking max RPM, it enables Dynamic Pro mode, nothing more.
