S1000r Brake fluid res

New here so don’t know if this has been discussed before.
Is it just me or does the brake fluid res on the handlebars look unsightly.
Can this been moved as it looks like they didn’t know where to put it ?

Many have put on aftermarket reservoirs(I have a Rizoma). I guess you could move it, but probably need to make sure it is still the high point so any potential air bubbles will still 'rise' to the reservoir. And yes, you are correct, it is pretty ugly!

  Yes I agree.  it resembles a urinalysis sample cup in my opinion.  I swapped mine out for a Rizoma cup in black which is a little better aesthetically.  if I could lower the profile of the reservoir that would be an added bonus.

An easy 10 minute job

I assume you remove the fluid from the reservoir, pinch off the tube, change over to the new one and top up fluid?

That’s the way to do it 

Though I’d pinch off the tube first, then drain the old reservoir.

Careful with spills as brake fluid destroys paint.  I wrapped a large bath towel tight around the mount and used paper towels to absorb and eliminate as much as I could from the OEM reservoir before removing.
