New MOT rules?

“Some motorcycles may be fitted with high intensity discharge (HID) or light emitting diode (LED) headlamps. Existing halogen headlamps should not be converted to be used with HID or LED bulbs. If such a conversion has been done, you must fail the headlamp.”

I'm grateful we don't have vehicle compliance inspections here in my state.  My S1KR has converted headlights and race exhaust, and my Husky Supermoto is an unending series of infractions.

Agreed.
My projector retrofit would be tricky to undo.....

Speaking to a mate who's a MOT tester, basically the bulb has to match the reflector so you get the right pattern...

Was thinking of fitting led bulbs on mine,but won't bother now.
Re-fitting the standard bulbs during mot time should solve it for those who've already modified, I guess.

Just switch back to halogen bulbs prior to going in for your MOT?

Pain in the butt, but not the end of the world I doubt?
