So on an overall basis, the editors liked the old S1KR better than the new Aprilia and Duc. That is unexpected, but is actually believable to me in any case.  I do wonder how they got their "at the crank" horsepower numbers.  Not easy to measure that.

And still I wait! Ordered in day of launch, 10 days after the UK launch date and still no word from my dealership as to when I can pick it up. The uk riding season gradually passes....

It should have been last week but my delivery date seems to be a moving target. Getting a little frustrated with the lascivious of sold information. Was hoping to do the Distinguished Gentlemenís ride and had a couple of trips planned that Iím likely going to have to miss :(

It's arrived! I got an email from Pidcock BMW to say it had been inspected and the accessories I'd ordered have been fitted too. Hoping to pick it up this morning!

As soon as I get it home I have some Evotech axle sliders to fit. Along with the BMW radiator guards and BMW M engine guards that's the protection side of things done. Roll on the miles!

Congrats on the arrival of you new bike! Also, curious to see what the engine protectors look like when installed.

But with an S1K the reading season is 365 days of the year, they seem to work well in all conditions, the last few weeks all my rides have been in the pouring rain and bike is rock solid.

When the weather is this good the British countryside is beautiful! The perfect day to get some miles into this stunning machine.
