A throttle connector issue makes total sense to shut down the fly-by-wire.  A software bug...not so much.

Mine did that, fortunately it worked ok on the run home.
The next day it did it on first start up and then wouldn't reset at all, it turned out to be the throttle sensor in the twist grip which had failed.
This was at 4K miles and about a year old, it was done under warranty including collection and return.
Get it looked at because it will fail at the worst possible time, I'd just come back from the Pyrenees, which would've been a nightmare.
