I probably should have pointed out.

He doesn't actually want them for pit bike racing, that would be lunacy!

Last night was just a chance to try them out on the pitbike to see if they may be anygood on his Superstock 1000 bike this season. With the racing being so tight in that class he is just looking for marginal gains here and there to keep him at the top of the championship, especially now that teams like Bathams will be running the new S1000RR M Sport or whatever its called (the one with wings)

I wonder if you could develop a set of wings for the R, especially if you have access to CFD or a wind tunnel. Might help with the front end lightness that happens at high speeds and improve stability.

Very easily.

However.

Its something I would never do as anyone fitting winglets to a bike that doesn't have them as a standard production item deserves a good, hard, dry slap across the chops!

The same punishment should also be dealt out for anodised tat that gets clagged on to bikes to, but that's another discussion.

So, yes I could do it. But out of principle I would never do it.  :152:
