it's a 2021....   but I'm not sure which body it's going to have.

You've bought the current bike.

So it will be the sane as all the bikes from 2017 onwards.

having said that, when I made the decision to sell them back my r1250gs and put all the money towards a new S1000R I started stalking the new bike, looking for information, pictures, anything...  but HQ wasn't telling their dealerships, or the public.... so we all saw the spy shots.  We all listened to the rumors.

HQ had the announcement for the CONNECT that came out on the blog....

Then they had the R18 announcement/roll out which was huge...

Then they had the M series RR announcement...

So if they hold onto my R until October for some big announcement I'm gonna be PISSED...  ;)

Not sure if I follow but at this point in time I might be inclined to want the new model - is that what you think you are getting?

I just realized it's practically October.

uhm....  I really don't know!  at first I was shocked and hateful and wished I hadn't done it...  then I stared at the aliens headlight for awhile and got used to it...  so really it comes down to not having MY BIKE ...    so when the shop opens tomorrow I will start bugging my sales guy.  :)

FWIW - I love my bike. Its a 2018 and exactly like the picture you showed. I also like the old school tach and dash in general and would give no thought to trading mine for whatever the new one is. It does everything I ask of it extremely well and puts a smile on my face every ride :)

The new model will have a LED head light, digital dash and a new exhaust that is Euro5 compliant.
Engine is still a big unknown. But they need to ramp up the HP on it.

I got a mail from my dealer, he knows I'm looking for new bike since mine got wrecked.
He said it will be revealed now in october.

Really hope it comes with the new RR suspension as well. its my only gripe with my bike. everything is perfect except the suspension. still feel shafted we didn't get electronic spanners.

just talked to my guy at the dealer...  he's positive that I'm getting the old bodystyle.  so 2021 will be a transition year with both body styles available...

aaaaaaaaand I'm going to be waiting at least another week since it still shows in processing at the warehouse in Jersey

Damn! That’s a shame. Well whatever you get you won’t be disappointed.  :821:
