Suddenly can't clutch wheelie.
on: June 02, 2020, 03:42:20 PM
Hi

After a day at a small race track. Like a ho cart race track in which I was basically in first gear the entire time and dynamic pro it feels like I cannot pop a wheelie anymore. Before the bike just jumped up when I clutch wheelied but now I can't seem to get it up. It struggles.

What can be the reason here.

Clutch slipping? Do you feel a power loss otherwise?

This happened once to me after messing with the clutch perch dial. Did you recently adjust something there?

Not really. Sometimes when I ride it really hard it feels weaker, but it seems to be like I get used to the torque then.

Well actually it was in for a service, so they always touch it then, but this basically happened a day after I really did a lot of wheelies, and rode it hard.
Maybe my forearms are just tired.

But now I have also touched the clutch dial, so must reconfigure it.

By the way, how much play are you suppose to have when bike is cold/warm?

Clutch on these bikes should be adjusted while the bike is warm. Free play after adjustment is approx 3mm
