One point I'd like to add is that if I had a highly qualified mechanic near me I would add a V4 Tuono (I prefer the RSV4 since I love my s1000r) in an instant. They are fantastic bikes with great handling and feel. The sound is just gravy on top :)
I for that matter never would keep a Euro bike as my only bike. And for that matter, the ideal number of bikes you should own is n+1, where n >= 1
