Best deal on a new bike in the UK?
« on: March 07, 2020, 08:53:41 PM »
Hi Everyone, had a test ride on an s1000r sport on Friday and absolutely loved it, great bike, much bigger step up from my 2014 street triple than I expected.

So now hoping to buy one, what sort of discounts / deals have people been able to get recently? The bmw deal is 750 deposit contribution, 5.9% apr, and the sales guy seemed to be able to lop money off the price, 300 off offered without even asking for it. Whats the best deal I could hope for? Presume different dealers will make different offers depending on how much they want the numbers.

Presume there is now carwow or drivethedeal type websites for bikes is there?

Thanks, and hoping to properly join the fold soon!

So I bought mine afew months ago from Alan Jefferies in Rotherham , list price was 13050 I got 750 bmw discount and 750 dealer discount so 11550 all in , which I though was a great deal, also the rate was 5.9%

I played the BM dealer off against the local Yamaha dealer, I was looking at an MT10 again after test riding both and by chance he rang me while I was in the Yam dealer, I told him I was about to put a deposit down on one (blag..) so he made a better offer.

Ended up paying 11,500 for a new Sport, with the factory alarm fitted and a free first first service, 5.9% APR  (Always ask for a free first service..)

This was Wollaston BMW, Northampton.  If you havent got any PX, just ring around and wave a card deposit under their nose for the best deal..

Unfortunately had a chat with my mortgage adviser and need to wait until October to get one, going to be a long summer! Long story involving a house renovation and needing a new roof which wasnt in the budget...
