Fuel controller whitch is best for the 2018 on s1000r
« on: February 16, 2020, 01:46:48 PM »
Just installed the akra titanium headers and my short box sounds amazing
not tested yet as i have to weld a small support bracket for the rear foot peg.
I suppose now i will need a fuel controller
The pc5 cannot access the closed loop area and no maps available on the download page
so i dont think this is a viable choice information from there web page

The dimsport rapid bike evo when reading sounds good .
so my question is what has been fitted that really works for the bike stable in low and high RPM  thanks  :005:

Have you ridden enough to give the ECU a chance to adapt? If so, and you don't like the way it runs then Rapid Bike or BrenTune. Most seem to have the bike adapt ok with these mods.

Did you eliminate the O2 sensor? That could be the issue as it cannot adapt w/o it.

No i haven't ridden any time yet on the bike only just finished fitting it
both lambda sensors are fitted to the new headers fitted .
i wasn't aware the ecu could adjust itself to the point of proper fuel control the last thing i want is burnt valves or to ritch a mixture .
Just had a operation on my ear so i have a couple of weeks to sort this information out
before a helmet can go back on

Allow others to chime in, especially those that have done this. My understanding is that the ECU has enough range to adapt to this change. Also you can inquire on the RR forum where mods are far more common.

I'm also very interested how the bike adapts. I've been eyeing the Akra headers for a while but can't decide whats the best approach for a fuel controller, if its even needed.
