New M4 replica slip on
« on: December 23, 2019, 07:44:52 PM »
I just picked this off Amazon for $40 plus a midpipe for $50 to fit on my stock CAT.  I was bored with the stock Akro so I figure for $100, why not.  Im still on the fence about the look. Sounds great!

I like the looks. Can't fault the price for sure ! I swapped out the oem can for the SC project S1, which I really like however, not the price so much. Didn't care for the stock can much.

...Maybe consider a tail tidy to clean/tighten the tail end as well. Just a thought. Evotech has a nice unit for our bike.

:028: I think the tail tidy is on the roster after the holidays for sure.  I like the SC can as well but didnt want to spend the coin.  In fact, thats how it started because I was poking around on there site.  Im trying to save my nickels right now so I can upgrade my suspension for the Wilburs springs and re valve.

I'm liking that, do you have the Amazon links to both parts? and how much louder is it, my bike is almost silent with stock Akra  :021:

Thanks!  Its quite  a bit louder than the stock Akro and supposedly the baffle can be removed which I have not at the moment.  All I did was fit the M4 to the mid pipe, then to the stock CAT.  I made a small extension bracket to connect to the hanger and utilized the M4 springs that stretch to the mid pipe piece.  High temp black paint to blend it.  Total for me was roughly $95 for the 2 pieces and looks even better with my new Evotech tail tidy that Hooligan suggested.  Just noticed the exhaust slip on (option A) is no longer listed, bummer!
