I came back
« on: December 02, 2019, 01:19:10 PM »
After I crashed my 2016 s1000r I bought a 2016 Aprilia Tuono V4rr I never could get comfortable on the Aprilia so I finally traded it in on a 2017 s1000r. So after 2 years of trying to like the Aprilia I'm back on a bike that I like.

maxd77,

I can't believe what I am reading?? I too tested an Aprilla prior to purchasing my S 1000 R. I am sure they are nice bikes, but for me it was purely about ergonomics. I just never got comfortable on the Aprilla. The exact opposite occurred when I tested the BMW, it was a perfect fit, plus several other things that I liked better. Nice looking Beemer.....

Very similar situation with me. Ergos slightly more cramped but I did love the 2 test rides I took on the Tuono.  A short stint of buyers remorse perhaps. That said, after 2 solid riding seasons on the S1K. I know I made the right choice for my aching bones!

Must have been those ugly green wheels that look like they came off a Yamaha that you couldn't stand. :) Welcome back "You can check out but you can never leave"

Hmm I like the wheels, VR46 yellow.

This topic helps me stop thinking about trade-in options.

I had them powder coated that color because I like it. It did make the bike very hard to sell.
