Akrapovic or Brocks?
« on: November 24, 2019, 05:38:00 PM »
I'm torn between the Akrapovic and Brocks titanium full exhaust.  Seems to be a few on here with Akra full systems.

Anyone running a Brocks full exhaust?  I had one one my ZX14 a few years ago and liked it but no experience with Akrapovic products.....

I think it's more down to it being Akra seems to be the go to on here. I reckon nobody else has had a Brocks on their S1KR.  70 replies of 'never had one' probably isn't very helpful.

But if it helps,  I'm an Austin Racing man.

I have Akrapovic on both my R and XR, so will recommend those. In reality you should go with the one that looks best for you(can't see there being a huge difference in performance).

I personally was going to go for the akra but since i seen Wullie post i am thinking why spend the extra
on the parts we cannot see ok with the titanium you can blow torch and get the nice blue colour but for the price of that link pipe it make willies project look very tempting

As for your question i would go for the akra perfect fit and tested by thousands of bikes

Zolder what year is your SKR and which Akrapovic full system are you thinking of getting along with exhaust can?  I have the 2017-18 full system on my 2015 SKR along with 2017-18 GP exhaust can.  The headers on the 2014-16 are the same as the headers on the 2017-18.  But the link pipe is different on the 2014-16 GP can and the 2017-18 GP can.  However since I already removed my stock exhaust and installed the Arrow shorty full system which I replaced with the 2017-18 headers and link pipe along with the 2017-18 GP can by installing the 2017-18 evotech exhaust hang bracket with left side delete plate I was able to have a 2017-18 Akrapovic GP can.  If your interested shoot me  PM and I can get my other user ID which is RHB Motorsports to give you a really good price on the Akrapovic system and I can email you pics of how it looks on my bike.

Just an FYI, if you went with a Akra GP can and Akra full system even with the stainless full system you would shave off 15.2lbs. And if you went for the Akra titanium system with 2017-18 GP cans you would save 18.37lbs.  If anyone is interested shoot me a PM with your bike model and year of the bike.

I went with Akra TI headers and the stock end can on my 2017. I called my dealer and asked about the warranty specifics so that pretty much did it for me.
