2017 S1000R battery voltage
« on: August 07, 2019, 04:32:03 PM »
Hi all,

Just a quick question as I couldn't find it straight away by searching. What's the voltage of the battery?

I have checked on BMW website and it says 12 V, but I've also seen people talking about 12.8 V and 14.2 V in the forum?

I need to check the voltage on my battery that's why I am asking.

Thank you in advance!

It is 12V nominal. 12.8V is fully charged at rest (20-30min. of no charge/discharge). ~14.2V is the termination point for a actively charging battery and some chargers will drop into Float and hold at ~13.6V. The 13.1V noted would likely be shortly after a charge before the voltage settled. Li-ion can be a bit different.
