Hello from Singapore! Changed out the grips with success!
« on: July 17, 2019, 09:11:00 AM »
Hello from Singapore! Just got myself a 2015, Blue.

First time changing throttle grips on a BMW. Removing the grips on the right side one was a p.i.t.a!
Got the grips from Domino Italy. Both sides came with the 24mm holes and are installed easily! Hope this helps!

Welcome! If you dont mind me asking, why did you swap the grips out, and why these particular grips? Have you noticed any significant difference?

Thanks subs_p!

The old grips were so worn off with only 30,000kms (18600miles+). It was also becoming very tacky probably due to the tropical weather here in Asia.
The new ones looked and feel close to the original. That's why I got them.

Nice.  How long did that take?

Left side took about 5mins to remove and installed as the glue wasn't that much, and instead of using a knife, i used a pair of scissors to remove them. So much easier!

Right side took about an hour.. Sliced them thinly, then used a heat gun to soften the stucked shavings and a blunt scraper to clean it smooth..
