Austin racing slip on fitment question

Hey guys.  I have a 2017-18 Akra full system with the 2017-18 Akra GP can mounted on my 2015 S1000R.  Simple mount.  Just buy the Evotech 2017-18 exhaust hang bracket with left side block off kit and then order the rubber grommets from a 2017-18 S1000R's right side passenger bracket and presto it fits. 

The Akra GP can is very loud and obnoxious.  Does anyone know if a Austin Racing GP1R slip on exhaust would onto a set of 2017-18 Akra headers?

Never tried it, but my logic........

The akra headers fit the standard can and the gp can. The AR can be used as a replacement for the standard can, so I can't see any reason why it shouldn't.  I have the standard headers and AR can on mine with no issues.  The AR can doesn't use the footpeg mount tho, it just slips on. I vaguely remember you talking about modifying an exhaust mount. This may be an issue for you.

What about the issue of my 2017-18 GP can having those 2 nozzles that fit onto the 2017-18 Akra link pipe?  Everything past that link pipe is exactly the same from 2015 and on.  Do you think I would need to get the 2015-16 link pipe from Akra? And then mount a Austin slip on?  I also read in a few places that the Austin racing exhaust could be ordered with a link pipe.  Which Im assuming would fit onto the Akra collector set.  If thats the case i would order the 2017 Austin racing in order for it to mount onto my evotech exhaust hang bracket

The AR will be a direct replacement.  You shouldnt need to mess with it if you get one for the same year as bike as the headers are off. Don't over complicate it.

You need a slip on designed for a 2017> S1000R.

What would be the logic of ordering a cat delete when you already have Akra headers?  :084:

I wonder if the Austin Racing slipons twin nozzles are in the same position as the twin nozzles coming off the akra headers so that they could meet.  Are the Akras twin nozzles located in the same location as the twin nozzles that came from the cat converter. And what the diameters were from the austin racings slipon and the diameter of akras twin nozzles.  I emailed the guy who I ordered the exhaust from and asked him to email Upshift and ask these questions since they are the importer of Akra products and he their dealer

I received an email back from upshift the US Akra importer.  They said they said that the Akra full systems link pipes dual nozzles are the same diameter as the dual nozzles coming out of the cat converter.  And that the 2017-19 Akra GP can can either be used as a slipon or part of the Akra full system.  So I believe the Austin Racing 2017-19 slip on would fit onto the Akra link pipe.  However unlike the Akra GP slipon which mounts to the right passenger bracket like seen in my avatar and uses c clamps to clamp around the dual nozzles. The Austin Racing slip on just slides over those dual nozzles and is held in place with just c clamps.  So I guess Ill order it. See how it fits.  And if it fits properly Ill sell my 2017-19 Akra GP can.  If the Austin racing doesnt fit then someone is getting a great deal on it.

So I was right? Quick,  someone tell my wife!! Lol I have the Austin slip on fitted to mine. I think it looks better than the Akra. I got the carbon can. Thinking I might disable the flapper valve and see if it's much louder. I still have the stock cat.
