Is it truly limited to that speed regardless of gearing? Clearly, it tops out close to 255 but that is due to the redline rev limiter in 6th gear. Even with crazy gearing is it electronically limited? Could be a good thing as this beast is getting pretty angry over about 200 kph.

Super quick. As I said in another spot - it's a scalpel. Give it the time and education and it will reward. But use it sparingly and don't learn it - it's akin to mishandling a scalpel... you won't know you're cut until it's too late.

Isn't there a way to unlock the ecu on these bikes? I opened up my 2015 sdr alongside a slightly modded, s1kr same year with every mod available and around 150 mph he started pulling away... figuring the 10% optimistic speedo on the sdr we were still going 135 and accelerating.

The bike isn't limited in top speed, but it hits the rpm limiter at around 265 kph.
