Hello from Finland, new S1000R owner reporting
« on: March 31, 2019, 11:25:34 AM »
Hello,

After considerably long thinking (a year) I decided to give up on my MV Agusta Brutale 990R in exchange for brand new BMW S1000R in motorsport colors. It was quite a long road thinking letting Agusta go, at is has been one the of the most soulful bikes I've owned. However standing up to it's name, it was quite Brutale with no driving aids and lacking somewhat comfort for semi-long touring trips as it is designed for boulevard hooliganism  :008:

My new bike is equipped with sport- and dynamics package. Also, I've never had ABS brakes on a bike before. I guess I'm getting older, as electronics and engineering designed to improve ride quality is more appealing to me than just pure power. Having said that, I understand that S1000R has some +25bhp more than Brutale, but I guess one need to justify these decisions to self via some sort of rationalization  :001:

The MV Agusta Brutale was the bike I wanted to get for the longest time. It such a beautiful bike. But after riding the S1KR I was sold on it. Best bike I have ever owned.
