UK Independent dealers ?
« on: March 27, 2019, 11:09:47 PM »
Hi there, just wondering if any of you have used an independent UK dealer to service your S1000r ? Hoping to save a few quid on the exhorbitant hourly labour rates ! Cheers, Fletch

There is a guy in Croston,Lancashire mate who is an independent.Have never used him but heard good things.
Called once while I was out on the bike and spoke to him, seems to know his stuff.Ex BMW employee.
Spoke to someone having his bike serviced while I was there and he was singing his praises.
Will try to dig the address out if you want.

Hi thanks for the reply, I've just "Googled" Croston and I suspect the place you've seen is RGM : https://www.rgm-uk.com/index.php
They're exactly the sort of place I'm after, but ideally someone closer to South Yorkshire would be better for me, although it would be a good excuse for a good ride out !! 😀
Cheers, Fletch

We have a indy in Northants, Ian owns and runs Bike Motor Works, he is ex BMW mechanic but I would suggest he wouldn't have perhaps the knowledge / kit to interrogate and fix electrical issues on the latest bikes.
