Service / owners book
« on: February 28, 2019, 09:42:14 PM »
Hi,
Had my s1000r for a year now, but I made what some would say is a no no, I bought with no service/owners books, did get two keys and the v5 though.
Bike is spotless, never missed a beat and I love it.
But what should I have to go with the bike?
A picture would be great if one of you would be kind enough to help me out. 👍🏻👍🏻
Cheers.

Download the factory manual here http://www.bmw-motorrad.com/com/en/index.html?content=http://www.bmw-motorrad.com/com/en/services/manuals/manuals_main.html&notrack=1

I have this manual and its invaluable.  Covers the XR but author tells you on a single page the few different specs if you are wrenching on an s1kr.

I can buy a new one from the main dealer for 30, just wondering if there's a folder or wallet that it comes in.
My MV Agusta's came in a fancy box.

I bought mine 2nd hand as an approved used BMW from a dealer.  Didn't come with a wallet, just the owners handbook and the service book.  If you want a wallet, then the BMW car ones are very nice and can be picked up cheaply off ebay for around 10.  I have one for my car, the older ones are better quality, but the new ones are OK

I don't even think my 2017 came with a printed manual, tbh...

If it did, I have no idea where it went ;)
