Hello From Kentucky!!!
« on: February 01, 2019, 09:26:08 PM »
Just got my 2018 S1000R delivered about 90 minutes ago. Been wanting to get one for quite some time and my local dealer gave me a great deal on a 2018 demo. Can't wait for this weather to clear up so I can jump on it and ride!

Well, I spent six years bikeless after the first summer from moving from Washington State to Kentucky. It was a whole different thing riding out here so I sold my Moto Guzzi and got used to things in my cage. Then last year I picked up an 08 GS Adventure thinking it would keep me from riding too aggressively and theyre built like tanks. Well, tanks are slow and awkward and I wasnt too big of a fan when it came to venturing off pavement. I decided this year I was going to go back to my sportier roots. Favorit bike I ever owned was a 2004 AprilIa RSV Mille Factory Edition but they arent as common around here and I really enjoyed my dealings with the local BMW dealer. So I started looking into the S1000s and they checked every box. Im older and fatter now so I went with the R instead of the RR. Cant wait to start eating up miles on it!

That's kind of funny, I bought a 2015 s1000r out of that shop on Wednesday! I wonder if they were surprised to sell two naked bikes on consecutive days in the coldest week of the year. Agreed on the shop, those guys were good to deal with. Hope you're loving the s1000r as much as I am!

Hey ShawneeBR your bike is what got me on the track of getting my bike! Lol! I went down there hoping to make a deal for it and Gary said it had a cash deposit already. I was pretty determined to get one so he made me a solid deal on the 2018 demo bike they had on the floor. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE BIKE!!! Can't wait to get some more seat time on her!
