DDC Rear Spring option
« on: January 30, 2019, 02:10:25 PM »
I've scanned through this section, and it seems like the recommendation for someone above 200lbs to get the preload in range is that the front springs can be replaced, but for the rear shock recommendation is to get a new shock (I see Wilburs mentioned).

Is that right, or have people had success with just a new spring on the rear shock?  A bit out of my budget right now for the shock so will hold off if that's the case.

Yes, I'd seen that one, but since you'd said "Hoping this will get me in spec sag wise and maintain all the DDC functions" I wasn't sure if this worked for you or not?

I plan on installing the stiffer springs sometime in April. I will post results then.

A good read.  Looks like the Triple Tuning link now directs to Wilbers, so looks like just the shock option there, no separate spring.  Plenty of other good information in there though.

Alpha-racing Germany sells seperat springs. They fit on a RR but they also fit in the R cause i guess it is the same Shock:

Yesterday, i bought a used100nm spring for the OEM shock and used 10,5 fork springs for the DDC oem fork. If Its here, i will try it on the OEM shock without another Modifikation.

I had ask many Specialists. Some did not replay, some say, without Modifikation makes n sense, only one say, He would chage the spring.
The Question was: spring is week due to 2 Persons. I had ask for the easyest work.
The money range Was 400 for only changing incl. the springs up to 1500 Euro for wesa in the back an a Front Modifikation.

The price for the used springs was 130 Euro, maybe i have waste it...
