Manual folded license plate holder/short tail

one of S1000R Owner design and invent this folded plate holder that help you do not accept cops advice about the speeeeeeed limit. :305: :305:

also it could avoid the long tail license plated holder knocked the tire once high speed across rough pot-holed road.

Back in the 80s, we made something similar that worked on fishing wire, which was fed thru the bike in plastic conduit and the flip up section was operated by I think, an old choke lever we had lying about, bolted to the bars.

We had a nice message for the feds underneath it but back then they all had 1.0L Mini Metros, no chopper and no speed cameras...

Nowadays, as said, that will cause you some serious grief with the law, if the plate is totally missing , (must have fell off, officer) the penalty is next to nothing!

I still like it thou!

The incipient purpose they design this plate is to avert someone duplicate your License number. when it folded nobody could see your number, but abused...like not abide by the traffic law
the second reason is avoid the long tail license plated holder knocked the tire , it is much shorter than the original in China.
