nice post... look forward following your journey  :028:  If you are picking up a new bike, are you planning some where to stop for the first service around  600 miles?

Thank you!

Yep, brand new. Need to perform the 600 break-in service during the trip. Haven't selected a dealer yet.

Guys, I am trying to get BMW Motorrad's attention for this journey. If anyone in touch/ has relationships with Germany, please point this thread out to them.

my first long trip riding moto bike is in 2016, total distance approx 4000km. I ride Ninja 250 at that time, trip with a S1000RR from east to west of China in 7days. day 1 we run about 1400km on high speed way. we are fully equiped,  take a bag with some clothes, a Smart Phone and a little cash. a smart phone can solve 99% problem in China. also could nevigate for us
there is only thing troubled us is the flying bugs. they are on the helmet on your chest and on the  windshield.  wet tissue is very useful that worth to be prepared

I want to ride coast to coast one day so you should have fun. If you're trying to gain BMWs attention FaceBook may be the best to document it so they could reference it easy or your own website. But each day after you've been riding all day will you feel like sitting down and editing a website, Youtube vids may be easier.

Are you staying in Air BnBs every night? Make sure they have a garage or stay in a hotel on the first floor (roll your bike in the room? Not sure if its feasible or even possible lol).

Four GoPros? You better have a lot of memory cards and a computer to download your footage to. You'd mid as well have a mic set up if you have 4 of them to record to, to gather your experiences and thoughts while riding.

Sorry I don't have much to add as far as your packing list, looks like you've already got a bunch of it sorted. Maybe have the dealership add radiator/oil guards to your bike before you get there to avoid any rock damage during your trip home. Ride safe and have fun!

Thank you bud.

I don't use facebook. If you guys want to do that for me please. Link to this thread.
Instagram is @S1000Rpost

Def. want this to be a fun trip so I agree with you, I won't be doing anything that feels like "work". Plus I am not taking my laptop so it'll have to be GoPro cloud storage and whatever the GoPro and DJI apps can handle as far as editing goes.
Just to share beautiful scenery. I figure, the world doesn't need another vlogger.

Charging all the gyzmos will be done with an awesome Anker 10-port USB charger I use for cycling. Forgot to add that to the list but will pack it for sure.

Haven't sorted the lodging yet. Some people suggesting camping, but you are right, I did picture myself rolling the bike into the room. I was promptly laughed at. Will be getting a discreet/ non-BMW branded outdoors cover and the BMW Motorrad Disk Lock with Alarm so it alerts me at least.

I'll just change the radiator and the oil cooler when I get to my destination...  :001:
Just kidding, I have been looking into the guards but didn't order any. I haven't found a set I liked. Please suggest some if you guys found some you liked.

Edit: The EvoTech Performance ones look decent, right? So does their Tail Tidy!
