Good day to all.

Will they fit? Confused, I see this slip-on described as for 17/18 S1000RR/R in some sites/articles, but Yoshimura says to me via email that they're not sure if it will fit.

Any info is highly appreciated.

Cheers

S1000RR and S1000R >2017 exhausts although similar, are not the same.

Slip ons have the same size for the bigger pipe, but the smaller one, has different length.

I am sure it is possible to make it work, but it could be necessary to cut a bit the S1000RR slip on (small pipe)

Worst case scenario, you could just buy a set of RR headers, I guess.

How about the hanger? Is it in the same location by the footpeg? The longer smaller pipe is workable, but the hanger would be more difficult to relocate

Already have Akra headers. So wish the Yoshimura slip-ons would fit

Hello.
I use a double r exhaust link pipe on my 2018 s1000r.
The singe and double r models have the same bore size on both the smaller and larger pipes.
But the double r smaller pipe is longer and will foul on the small bracket welded on the smaller pipe.

What I did was to remove the bracket and smooth down both of the welds.
It looks good without the small bracket.

Can you post up some pictures bud. I'd like a nice can on mine but there's currently nothing for the R, whereas the RR has some decent choices.

Thank you very much for this info. But just some clarification.

So an RR slip-ons smaller pipe would be shorter? Which you need to make longer?

In other words, your RR link pipes smaller pipe is longer, so the matching RR slip-ons smaller pipe is shorter?

Hello.
The bore sizes are all the same. Both pipes are the same length on the single R link pipe. But the double R link pipe has a longer small bore pipe.
This is why you need to remove the bracket as it will foul on it. Hope this helps.
