Im more shocked that you can get insurance for a zx10 for 100 pounds given the amount of organised bike theft in the UK.
 I would have thought that all insurance in the UK was massively expensive as a result.

I previously had a Z1000, and swapping to the ZX10R was about an extra 10 a year, so for the S1000R I was expecting about the same as the ZX10R, maybe a little less. I should have known better as anything that involves BMW is expensive.  I also have a BMW car, a 2015 330i which I have had for 3 years.  The insurance on that is 200 a year, so the bike is actually more expensive which is a first for me

Crazy but true- my 2012 1.4 Corsa with same declared annual mileage per annum is 100 more EXPENSIVE a year to insure than the S1R ! ! !
