I'm late to this but really hope you managed to come to a decent resolve with the insurance company. There should be a thread that names the best and worst insurers to deal with.  It ridiculous what they do.
Anyway, wishing you the speediest recovery man!  take care

Pretty sure these will fit all model year 'R' and also at least 15-18 'RR'(may also fit 12-14). Gives you a bigger market to sell to!

Enter number 382586837943 on ebay uk, thats my slightly damaged/repairable ilmberger carbon fibre
full length belly pan, specifically for the 2017 model s1000r , then click on my  other items for sale, there may be something of intrest, even as a spare,  I sincerly hope I am not breaking any forum rules by doing this.

so an update to my claim, MCE wouldnt budje on their offer and the case went to the ombudsman, it goes to their investigator first who advised MCE to pay the full retail value of my bike, but they could appeal, so MCE appealed on the last day they could,21/01/19 on review the investigator held his ground and advised they pay the full invoice price of the bike plus compensation for time delay, they refused and asked for the case to be escalted to the actual ombudsman, he now has 8 weeks from 12/02/19 to come to a final decision, which may or may not be the same view as the investigator at the ombudsman department, which will take us to april 2019, for a non fault accident on 2nd september 2018. my advice never never never insure your bike with MCE :230: :230: :230: :230:

W@nkers...

Please do also share this news on MCEs facebook page...

https://www.facebook.com/mce.biged/

Nothing embarrasses companies nowadays like negative social media , especially on their own websites.

Looking at FB again, it would seem there is already 2 sites running with a negative slant on MCE!

I think you will find your claim upheld by the ombudsman, I had issues with Swintons a few years back(avoid these shysters too) and between emailing the ombudsman , Swinton CEOs, MCN and RiDE magazine, I was rightly well compensated.

Good luck and keep us posted.

THE FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAND FINAL DECISION MADE ON 15TH MARCH THIS YEAR, FOLLOWING MY NON FAULT ACCIDENT ON 2ND SEPTEMBER LAST YEAR , IN LAW WAS THAT MCE INSURANCE PAY OUT THE FULL INVOICE PRICE OF THE BIKE AT 13595,(BEING 1 DAY OLD) PLUS SIMPLE INTEREST COMPENSATION AT 8% PER ANNUM ON THE SHORTFALL THEY OFFERED OF 2500 LESS= 115.00 FOR MCE MESSING ME ABOUT. THE CLAIM FOR UNINSURED LOSS AND INJURY IS ONGOING.
SO MY ADVICE TO ALL YOU BIKERS IS DO NOT USE MCE INSURANCE, OR GOD HELP YOU IF YOU EVER MAKE A CLAIM.
