Bridgestone s21 - slippery when close to wear bars?
« on: August 05, 2018, 01:26:02 PM »
‘17 s1kr, front s21 is noticeably less grippy as it gets close (1mm) to wear bars. This was not my experience with other tyres, where grip remained similar to the death.  Is this something others have experienced? Causing me to want to change early to m7rr or q3+

My s20 front on my '16 did the same, once it showed obvious signs of chamfering on the edges it became fairly nervous! I find Bridgestones generally decent but much prefer Pirelli or Metzeler. I don't like Michelins or Dunlops.

I like the M7rr. Just do it mate.

The Q3+ also gets a good wrap from those who have tried them.

Another for the Metzeler M7RR’s, the Bridgestone’s don’t compare.

I have had no problems with the S21 in the wet or dry I have a 2017 with 37000KLM on my 9th rear,I wear them past the wear block till they look like slicks average around 4-4.5 thousand klm per tyre
