Clock Issue
« on: June 18, 2018, 08:49:40 AM »
Just took delivery of my new s1000r (after having the first stolen).

Everything is great and due to go for its 600 miles service and I'm sure they will fix this issue but thought I might ask here first as its annoying.

The clock does not work.  I've entered the correct time but it does not move on, always stays on the time entered.  When I switch the engine on the clock has returned to 0:00.  I've asked the dealer via email but heard nothing back yet.

There have apparently been issues with the cluster on a number of current year XR

New clusters are being awaited.

Same problem here on a new bike I picked up end of May. Dealer is ordering a new dash for the bike.

Yeah, I am hearing this more and more.

My dealer is ordering a replacement and another 6 bikes with the same issue.

Makes you wonder what BMW pre-checks are done before they leave the factory.

My dealer was a little dismissive at first but as I do 60 miles a day and about to tour Europe the clock would have been a useful feature.

Anyone heard anything about when the replacement clocks will arrive - I have tried contacting BMW customer services but constantly engaged and they don't respond to emails (despite the auto response that says contact will be made in 48 hours...)?
