I refuse to ride one ;).  It makes no sense for me to own the 1199 to begin with, although after being asked by my wife many times why I have three bikes and why one of them is an all out sport bike, I actually managed to muster an explanation that she fell for. Dont ask, Im going to charge for it :)

At the prices here, owning more than one bike is purely theoretical... and I am being asked by my wife about the single bike that I have  :008: I think I do not sound too convincing to her. Do share, sharing is caring!

Let me think about it.  It may not make sense or work for a lot of people. I think the real reason she gave in is that I caved a couple of years ago and agreed to go to Cancun with her and sit on the beach for 6 days.  Done it twice now.  I hate sitting on beaches.   There was some serious bargaining going on.

But that is still not my soon to be patented line.  Maybe later today...or tomorrow....

I'm quoting my own post here.  I stopped at the dealer today. Long story, but I have insider priveledges at the dealer. They have a Panigale V4.  It's already been ridden and is a demo bike. They told me to come ride it.  I might.

The bike dyno'd at their shop at 195 bone stock and 205 with a full Akrapovic.  They started the bike for me inside the shop with the Akro....no silencer.  Oh dear Lord does it sound incredible.

Contacted the local KTM dealer to see what they'd do on trade for a used 2017 SuperDuke R...  $10,500 CAD, about half what I paid for the bike last summer, lol.

What, almost $900/mo depreciation?  Ouch.

Yeah, I checked the paperwork last night, price I paid was $18,795 (since it had forged wheels and sport package) + tax + reg.

3,600km on the clock, bought it the end of june last summer, lol.

Bending over for a spanking is one thing but this sounds more like bending over for a rogering which is a step to far in my book, even for a motorcycle.

I also traded in my 2015 S1000R for a 2018 Superduke GT. Here in the UK they did a Black Friday sale and dropped 5000 from the list price.....no catch, brand new but pre-registered bikes!! I had previously tested the XR as I wanted a bike which was fast but could take luggage and tour.....and the discount made the GT a no brained....there is a new 2018 model out soon with LED headlamps and TFT screen.....but for the cash I paid (10,995) Im happy compared to the 17000 for the new version (which has the same engine!!)
I must admit Im loving the big twin-I dont feel the need to wring the bikes neck like I did on the S1k thus hopefully it will slow me down a bit!!
