From HD to BMW
« on: February 12, 2018, 04:52:31 AM »
Aloha!

I'm a new S1000R owner, purchased a 2017 demo bike with 298 miles on it. I currently live in Hawaii, the island of Oahu.  :018: I didn't purchase it here but in California so I'm patiently awaiting its arrival in a few weeks. This is my second bike, I just recently sold my '08 HD Nightster. It was a great bike but wanted something a little newer and sportier...I love riding, I rode just about everyday here but not having a bike right now sucks!! I look forward to learning a lot about the bike, looking into what I should add first. My priorities for mods is protection, Rad/oil cooler guards then sliders and case savers so I've got my research cut out for me! Any suggestions are appreciated  :001:

Also, I have a '97 E36 M3 which I've had for 10+ years now. Lots of work done to it so I'm happy to add another BMW to the garage!!  :152:

That is a bit of a change :028:
Everything you need to know will be on here somewhere, just a matter of finding it.
Good luck with the bike.

Thank you all! :) I know it is quite a bit of a change and I plan on taking it pretty slow. I rode a 2015 and loved it, was actually really easy to ride and pretty light compared to my HD. I'll be riding it in rain mode for a long while to see and learn how it rides.

I'll see what site I can use to host pictures to post one of my E36 in here. :)
