Great riding stamina!
Also, I might have to get me one of those sergeant seats :) I like the BMW comfort seat but no way could I put that many hours in on it and not suffer.

Honestly the Sargent is a mixed bag in a way. Yes, it's more comfy, but it makes moving around the bike a bit more difficult. It isn't as easy to slide from one side to the other since the Sargent is a bit cup-like.
That said, I do prefer it over the Comfort seat. I've done a fair number os SaddleSore rides with the comfort seat, though, so I can't say that I found it too bad.

Appreciate your thoughts on the sergeant.
Might get one anyway since I am planning on doing some touring (someday) on my s1000r and seems like many owners recommend it for longer rides.

Heh. A lot of the place names in that phot are certainly Spanish. Escondido, Pala, San Diego, the Coronado Islands, so on...
As far as actual Spain goes, I've driven a whole lot of it but never had the pleasure of bringing (or renting) a bike there. Some day...

I should point out an interesting detail in that photo. If you zoom way in you can see two islands of the coast on the far left. Just below the right hand island you can see a bunch of bumps- a bit hard to identify.
That's downtown San Diego, which has a building height limit of 499 feet above sea level, so those tiny little bumps are our high rises.
The reason for the height limit is that our airport is right next to downtown. Although the flight path doesn't pass over downtown itself, it passes near enough that the limit is seen a wise idea.
Here is a uTube video of the approach to the airport:

Just below the Blue Ridge Parkway(it's closed at the moment). These rocks have moisture dripping down them all the time, at this time of year they do not see the sun and this is close to 5000ft msl. Was eventually a beautiful day once the thick fog lifted around 10am.

A pic from yesterday's ride.
It was a nice, long day on the bike. 14 hours from the time I left the house to when I rolled back into the garage, 707 miles in total.
