they do look fab and ive no doubt they are wicked to ride, I will blag a go on one and who knows, initially I dint look at them at all as the cost (still) is way above the BMWs and my budget but they always get the "best supernaked" tag in any group roadtests.

Given their shitty resale, they are actually cheaper used than all european brands. I think my 2012 S1000RR was probably not much cheaper than the 2016 Tuono Factory. I obviously got the better end of the deal!

If there was a dealer closer to me I'd have an rsv4 by now. Love riding it and the tuono of course  :305:

I was thinking of getting a 2013-2015 one because they sound sooo goood. Looked on the Tuono forum lots of posts with them eating stators every 10k so let the idea go.Though there is one in Bakersfield cheap right now :)

Thats also the reason I went for the 1100 motor as they ironed out the issues on 2014-15 bikes. If you want a gen1 V4, those can be had real cheap around 4-6k but stick with the 2014+ models as the issues are fixed.

To those considering an aprilia v4 one common thing I noticed in my research is that the newer engines (1100 and the rsv4 1000) have many past issues resolved however it appears many owners recommend an annual (5000k mile) valve check to be safe. There are still the occassional valve train issues, but if caught early can be avoided for the most part with simple valve adjustments.

They look really good together in the garage, the hardest part is just which one to take out for a spin on a nice day.
