My bike was supposed to arrive at my local dealer yesterday and I should have been riding by early next week.  It was a dealer transfer and the bike, a blue one as was my choice, arrived   uncrated. But somehow the bike was dropped and damaged before it reached the showroom, and it now has a scratched side panel, damaged bar end and control lever. I haven't seen the bike so I'm not sure that's the extent of it, just what the sales manager says. What's more, replacement parts for those items are not yet available and no other bikes are in the pipeline to the dealership.   What should I do?

That's a tough decision, but I think you know the right one? I wouldn't accept a bike that's been dropped, how on earth do you know what actually happened to it and who's to say at a later stage you won't get any issues. Could the dealer not speak to BMW and source another with what's happened to yours? Surely this has happened in the past and I cant imagine BMW saying, tough you have to get to the back of the line, that would be bad business. You might have to wait some more weeks but I'd like to think a few weeks rather than months.
If you do decide to keep it then you want it repaired and a lot of stuff thrown in!!

ok i've read it again, are you saying the dealer dropped it after uncrating it?

Find new dealer and buy other S1R...don't go for dropped bike even if they put new parts on it

Unfortunately some dealers aren't very honest and it's possible they don't even have your bike and are making excuses for not delivering your bike on time..  :164: :164:
