Electronic-Optronic Technician in the Canadian Armed Forces.  I work on optical and electronic sighting systems for our weaponry and electric generators, among other things.

I'm a PhD student in mechanical engineering (robotics). Just passed my thesis defense a couple of days ago, graduate after turning in the final comments on my thesis. Coming to the end of a long 6 years, will actually start to make enough to put a garage around my poor s1Kr that currently sits locked up on my porch.

Good to see another PhD here. I finished mine back in 2012 in Distributed Systems. Took around 5-6 years as well. Now I am just a software engineer, LOL.

We should hook up for a ride!

There's some who are good with their head and some who are good with their hands - respect to both  :037:

Personally I wouldn't know one end of a spanner from the other   :187:   :110:
