Hey Guys, my name is Michael from Germany.

I am the admin from www.S1000RR.de

Last week at the Racetrack Oschersleben we make some pics of the 2017 -> S 1000 R

All pics from the S 1000 R are in this picturegallery:

It is.  It is what you think it is.

Not sure if I'm digging the cosmetic changes.  They've made the design more busy, but better?  :027:
Still, a face only a mother could love.

Thanks for the pics, Michael.

The new S 1000 R has the Chassis from the 2015 - S 1000 RR.

What you see is the Blipper (now in the S 1000 R).

Indeed it looks like the new RR chassis

Any word on the Electronic side updates?
Do we know anything about about power figures? It must have changed somehow since it's Euro 4 (i guess)

That sure isn't an improvement aesthetically and the exhaust can is downright fugly.  Let's hope BMW have done a better job under the skin!

Those fairing parts are awful. More cheap plastics than current model, none of the awesome asymmetrical pattern/gills?

The only thing which interests me is Shift Assist Pro and a possible option for retrofit. I'm guessing it's a no go though if the chassis is changed.

Looks like the bars get rubber mounted to address some of that "characterful" vibration  :002:

That top triple clamp would be the first part I'd purchase off of the 2017 if I wanted to enhance my 2014 (provided the offset is the same).

Why is common sense so uncommon?

Apart from blipper I think original fairing etc is better, and it looks like they've finally realised the tank panel is better in black👍
