The XR doesn't have DDC.  It has Dynamic ESA.

Did you get this resolved?  My bike has been having a similar issue.  Once in a while under braking the front end will dive and rebound back up uncontrolled when I let off the brake.  This has happened several times now and a couple of those were entering a turn.  One of the times I nearly lost it.  No fault lights on.  Guess I'm going to have to take it to the dealer.  Unfortunately my prior experience with them was that they really don't know what they are doing with this bike.

Thanks

Hi,

I got it solved ... i mean my dealer got it solved. A few S1000R got this kind of problem.
Theres is a sensor on the dampening unit that stops working (dont know the exact techincal terms), and the bike itself dont have a way to telling you this, and the fault dont show on the computer. My dealer replaced this unit by a brand new one and its already a 4th generation unit. ECU reprogrammed and voil! I must say that the bike feels much more planted, holding the lines mid corner flawlessly and much more confidence inspiring. I can now change between suspension modes and the bike assumes all the positions (soft, medium and hard).

Thanks for replying. I guess I'll need to take it in and try to get them to do the same checks you mentioned earlier in the thread. Something definitely is not right with the front suspension.

Hey swampwhore, I noticed you posted in the GS-911 thread as I was going to post here.  If you do have a GS-911 then you can examine the EDC sensor and valve real-time values in the SAF section.

Thanks. I have not bought one yet, but then again I didn't "need" it. Now I think I may "need" it.

I just came across this post and I am having the same exact problems!!!  Somehow I feel as if my DDC is turned off.  This happened after I set the SAG the first time without the engine on.  Then I had the DDC recalibrated and the preloads put back to the factory settings and still the DDC had no effect.  Can you please respond back how they fixed your DDC???  Thank you!!!
