The DBK took the aggressive bark out of the exhaust. It quieted down abit, just enough, and gives some backpressure to the bike which is nice because it makes the bike more responsive. I have the full Akrapovic header and muffler. Between the DBK and the Rapid bike Modules this bike has the throttle response equal or better than stock.
You do not cut the baffle at all. Basically I drilled a small hole at the end of the canister inner pipe then I lined up the DBK where It fit the contour of the inner pipe, then used the hole I drilled as a guide to drill the hole in the DBK. I used a 5mm SS bolt and Nylock lock nut. Hindsight id go smaller.
