2nd Bike Poll
« on: May 12, 2015, 11:20:53 PM »
Ok, so what would it be?  We all know our first choice, but if you could only have 1 other bike, what would it be and why?

My second bike of choice is a SuperMoto race bike- which wasn't on the list.

I have mine already, K1300S, but I don't consider it a sportbike or a tourer. Sport-tourer maybe

Well, I knew with only 5 categories and 1 being a joke, I was going to miss some.  In my defense, my last choice was initially other, but I couldn't resist.

The reason I posed this was that, after thinking about it, I couldn't narrow it down to just one myself.

I've toyed with the idea of owning a Panigale but would I get the time to ride two bikes ( not together. :008:) I think you would end up riding the bike that gives the most satisfaction. I own a Honda X11, not great in the looks department but a very underestimated bike and certainly no slouch and an engine which runs like a Swiss watch..but I've not ridden it since I bought the S1R. :002:
Performance
Max power   134 bhp
Max torque   83 ft-lb
Top speed   160 mph
1/4-mile acceleration   10.7 secs
Average fuel consumption   41 mpg
Tank range   195 miles
Most of my life, I drank whiskey, rode bikes, and chased women..........the rest of it I just wasted.

:008:  I'm in the same situation.  I guess wife falls under the "other" category.  :156:

I guess this poll comes down to what people think would be the weakest capability of the S1000R?  Obviously, pure dirt/adventure/supermotard is where the bike can't compete, and I would think die hard dirt riders would need the second bike for that.

But for the rest, does one need a Harley to fit in with the leather chaps crowd?  A K1600GT for ultimate two-up touring? A track-only sport?

On the road, no pillion, I am struggling to pick a bike I would rather ride that this one.
