Fitted Stompgrip
Swing arm bobbins
and Wunderlich risers
....then rode it over Hartside and back. Starting to gel with this bike, like it a lot.

Waiting for the rad covers and bigger screen.

Next up is tyres. 1900 miles on clock now and the rear OE Pirelli is fooked. So probs go Dunlop Sportsmart 2s.

Hi J Biker,

Mines going in for its first service on friday - Ive fitted the evotech rad guards and ordered the MRA double bubble screen. What guards and screen are you getting. I did the Kielder, newcastleton, brampton, alston, weardale then back to chester le st route last night. Bikes a cracker I think, though i still like the rawness of my brothers v4 Tuono as well. :002:

Had a test ride on v4 1000 Tuono. Thought it wasn't as quick as the S1000 and the suspension also seemed to hard for road use. Sounded good but then BM sounds great as well (how can the Japs not get exhausts as sweet sounding?)
heated grips, cruise control and some sort of dealership backup make the choice a no brainer though. Now the 1100 is out the BMW also seems a bit of a bargain on price as well.
Might look in to Ventureshield for the bodywork.....and I wasn't going to spend money on this one!

I would suggest continuing the paint theme to the side panels under the tank/seat...get rid of that grey.

Otherwise looks fantastic.
Why is common sense so uncommon?

Hey brother,

Looking great there. It looks like you did a 520 conversion right ? What gearing are you using ? Rear sprocket looks a big bigger than OEM...

Cheers

PS: I like the Metz sticker with Pirelli's mounted haha, They are cousin companies I suppose  :821:

Picked it up on the 26th of June and didn't get a chance to ride it until last weekend, what a great bike!  Coming from an R1200S the engine, clutch etc. took some getting used to, but I've had I4's before and it's nice to have this power.

I've added rim tape and removed the fork reflectors, passenger pegs and swingarm stickers etc.  My tail tidy just arrived today and a solo seat cowl, new brake reservoir and clutch/brake levers on the way.

Did you color the BMW logo?

Good eyes!  Yes, the rim tape kit came with a square patch of vinyl in the matching colour so I traced out the blue sections of the BMW logo and covered with red vinyl.  Peels off in seconds if I get tired of it, I think it works well though!

One of the forum members on the R1200S site I used to frequent had done something similar to his bike (it was the red/silver candy stripe version of that bike).
