Bike pulls slightly to the right side
« on: February 27, 2015, 09:08:40 PM »
When I take my hands off the handlebar I have to lean to the left to prevent that the S1000R pulls to the right side. In other words, the bike veers to the right side when ridden no-hands. I find this problem only when riding no-hands (When I keep 1 hand on the handlebar I can not feel any pulling to the right side). It's not dramatic; we mostly keep our hands on the handlebar while riding. Of course I did this no-hands riding only on private roads, not on public roads.
Anyone here with the same experience?

Did you confirm that in UK when driving no-hands on the left side of the road your S1000R pulls to the left side due to camber?

Could just be the tyres, or camber or even forks

Have you measured the amount of forks each side what's showing through the headstock?

The right fork tube shows 6.1mm through the headstock. The left fork tube shows 5.9mm through the headstock.
In fact I know from another rider that his S1000R is also pulling to the right side while riding no-hands. That's why it's interesting to know whether anyone here has the same experience.
Or maybe this is just a built-in feature to prevent us from riding no-hands long distance with CC on ... (just kidding).  :016:

My bike keeps a reasonably straight line, does not veer off or anything like that, maybe you clothing affects the handling...
Most of my life, I drank whiskey, rode bikes, and chased women..........the rest of it I just wasted.

Old issue. It is the clutchcable that is a too perfect fit
