    Glad you got it sorted.  Iím still trying to rig up a Beemer dual USB charger on the right side plug (brake lever side) but never could figure it out.  Have to tuck my tail and let the dealer rig it up for me.

    Hi gents sorry for asking a stupid question but better safe than sorry.
    I have bought USB charger waterproof one with DC converter from 12-24V to 5V and stupid and lazy me didn't do research and connected to battery which was mistake as it drained battery after few days.
    Then I did research and found this Can bus connector you are talking about and I have purchased it. 
    Now question is with this do I still need to keep converter in the loop or I can just cut it of and solder the cable directly to connector and then connect to LHS one above the horn.  :003:

    No converter needed. The canbus socket will supply12v at 5a. This is enough to power any small electronic device and then some, in the right 'flavor', if you will.

    It won't fry any recent phones. They are designed for the 5a fast chargers, unlike earlier phones that could only handle 3.2a

    Hope you saying from personal experience, I am not sparky and also have concerns.
    Phone is year old and don't really fancy replacing it jet.  :015: :015:
