my new S1KR was delivered on Monday and I had the dealer fit a full Akra shorty. Only done 50 miles as the weather's not too good but fuelling is spot on and dealer says no need to do any mods. It's as loud as hell so I've picked up a baffle from eBay and will fit it beteen the end can and headers to quieten it down just a bit. Loving the bike and the looks of the shorty!

Just to clarify - this is the slip-on can with akrapovic headers combined?

That's great news to me :) Which baffle did you get from ebay?

Got this one but any 60mm outside diameter one should be fine. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161504254811
I cut it down about 50mm and inserted it into the header (perfect fit). I drilled a 6mm hole through the header and enlarged one of the holes at the end of the slots in the end can after lining it up to put the retaining bolt through.  Forgot to take pictures but will try and post some of the completed install.
Really pleased with the result, exhaust still has the 'bark' on startup and is loud but not antisocial loud as before and fuelling and power are spot on

That sounds like music to my ears :) Pictures would be great 'cos I will probably do the same thing to mine :) Guess I just need to place an order now.

Good result B4bertie!...I have the same Akra set up not fitted yet so will look at that depending on the noise!... :005:..The AR decat system actually comes with a quick change smaller baffle to reduce noise if required...

That baffle sounds great. I would definitely be interested in some pictures of it also.  :152:
