Top Box advice

Have anyone used the ventura system for mounting a givi top box? Im looking at mounting a givi monokey topbox and is wondering if it is possible.

Do you already have the ventura system?

I just fitted the Ventura system to my R, have had it on my XR for a couple years, so am standardizing being able to transfer plates/bags between R and XR. Once you have the system mounted you just need to get the correct plate to mount whatever bag/topbox you want.

Some do go to a lot of trouble and expense.
I use a waterproof 30lt Nelson-Rigg with adjustable straps.
Holds more than enough for a 5 day trip and keeps the weight low.
From memory $45.
Also great for leaning back on, on a long trip

Thanks for the suggestion I will keep that in mind and I still prefer to carry my things on a top box if I'm going on a long distance ride.

You dont need a ventura rack, nothing wrong with it at all buts its expensive , I use a renntec rack I bought from a forum member for 50 at the moment, previous to that, I bought a cheap chinese pillion seat from eBay and mounted the GIVI base plate to the seat..fine if you dont carry a pillion often.

My previous bike with the box on the seat.

I've had a ventura rack and Top box set up on my 2016 bike for a few years now and done several tours without any problems.
