Newbie on S1000R 2020.
on: June 04, 2022, 08:12:25 PM
Hi guys, bit of advice please. I am awaiting arrival of my s1000r. Every time I have a new bike I always get it professionally set up for my weight. With the BMW being electronic suspension do I still need to have it set up or not? Any help and advice would be appreciated, thanks  :002: :062:

Setting sag correctly is absolutely crucial for the ride quality on these bikes. Have it done professionally, but make sure the key is ON when they do it so the suspension is activated.

To be fair, setting sag is a challenging task solo.

You need an assistant that can read a measuring tape...but they don't need to be a professional suspension guru...competent at understanding a few instructions and the sag settings are achieved...its not rocket science.

It takes less than an hour...and your 40 could be spent on expensive accessories such as petrol... :008:

Guys,
Am going to get the sag set up on the bike, I understand the ignition has to be in the on position, does it matter which mode the bike is in? Also does anyone have the correct settings?
Thanks in advance.
