Joining the Single R crowd.
on: May 07, 2022, 01:08:05 AM
Hello!

I am in Houston, TX (United Stated for the international folks).

Got a 2022 BMW S1000R. I've moved on from a 2019 1250GS Adventure HP.
Prior to the 1250 I was on a 2017 1200GS Adventure (It was hit while parked and totaled) and before that I was on a 2013 Suzuki GSX-R.
I've had the itch for something sporty since leaving my gsxr. The 1250 helped a little when I could get to twisty roads. I was hard set on going RR especially after getting to ride it a couple times. Then last weekend I rode the new R, really enjoyed it but was somewhat hesitant. Then I realized it was still limited. So with that and having a handlebar I was set with the R.

I am learning that this bike must be new enough that the aftermarket scene (at least state-side) is not great. I am unable to find windscreens made for the bike. I see Puig makes a couple but I only see it available for the European market at this time. Besides that I'd like more tail tidy options.
With my limited riding time on this bike, so far I love it. But I would really like to have the break-in service and tune done already.
